7. Throw rocks into a body of water - narrarate like a dramatic breakup montage - This is now on my to-do list
15. Sit in your car and do nothing - Thanks to a post from another Substacker, I literally scheduled this into my day- a stillness challenge, except I'm at work with a bunch of noisy dudes, so I was going to go sit in my truck
24. Put googly eyes on random shit - our coffee maker is sporting some new eyes. Waiting for the wife to notice, and it's been a few days, so she probably just rolled her eyes and moved on.
79. Crawl across the floor - this is supposed to happen at Walmart some day. The hissing would be a nice touch!
I love this soooo much!! I like to lie on the floor in random places in my house and big stretch like I'm a cat π Gonna print out the list so I can tick them off each day. First thing I'm gonna do is order some googly eyes off Amazon and then go find a pretty stick in the garden. Thank you Dre!
This resonates deeply. Iβve spent so many years βdoingβ just to feel worthyβmeasuring my value by output, productivity, perfection. But healingβ¦ healing asked me to slow down, to soften, to feel everything I had buried under achievement. And thatβs been the most radical, terrifying, and liberating journey of all. Iβm still learning that I donβt have to hustle to matter. Thank you for reminding me Iβm not alone in this shift.
Oh sweetie, you're not alone AT ALL! There's so many of us in the thick of this healing. I hit rock bottom in 2021, and I'm still crawling out of all the damage this fucked system has caused. I hope these tiny acts of joy help you trust-fall into more slow, soft, moments that hug your nervous system. If you ever need an ear to bend, I'm here. π«Ά
2, 4, 8, 11, 26, 33, 35, 39, 47, and 66 are my regular therapies. :)
My kids and I would regularly prompt each other as we were entering a store or drivethrough 'We're Irish' (or other accent), and there was no discussion, we would do our best accents the entirety of the visit! All of my vehicles have emergency googly eyes. ALWAYS TIP BIG ENOUGH TO MAKE THEM WONDER. Yup, I'm in the right place. Thank you!
YESSS!!! π This list is all the ridiculous shit we actually do (or have done) and I'm like... this is the shit I should be sharing. Like, we isn't everyone being a British socialite in the drive through at Taco Bell? No wonder we're all stressed. π
Kindred, you're home. It's weird. It's messy. It's ok to laugh at it all. π«Ά
This had me laughing out loud! Iβve tried a few since I flipped the bird to hustle culture but this has added an extra helping of weird and wild to the existing!
Youβre so welcome, sweetie!! I hope it helps you heal from the BS and get so much more weirdβ¦ because we need more wild in our nervous systems. π«Άπ
I didn't think you were serious so I scrolled to the end first. There is, indeed, 101 suggestions!
π No clickbait here, gurl! I worked on this a little every day last week. My goal was 112β¦ but I thought 101 was more than enough to be DONE.
3. Break out in a dance party - I do this a lot

The hissing is THE touch! I wanna do it at the library. People there already look at me like I have a booger hanging out. π

Well, I guess my work here is done! I've feral'd you up nice + good. Off you go to heal, gurl! ππ«Ά
worth. every. word.
Music to my weirdly-shaped ears!!! π«Ά
I love this !!!
Awww, thanks gurl!! π«Ά I hope it comes in handy. I want us all getting a lot more fun + feral!
I love this so freakin much!!!!!
Didnβt get halfway through and had to comment. Omg Dre! This is what we need so much more of right now!!!
Sunday, I sat on my porch and watched the birds AT WAR with each other for over an hour.
But best of all, all these things on your list carry on whether or not we witness or report about them!
Iβm gonna go do a few of theseβ¦ as I have ginger chicken thighs cooking for breakfast. π
Love ya girl. So grateful youβre here and showing up like this!
Ginger chicken for breakfast is STRAIGHT UP legendary!!! π Iβll be there in 5 with my rice cooker.
It was sooo fun looking at my chaotic, messy healing journey and pulling these ridiculous nuggets out. I HOPE you try a bunch. π«Ά
You had me at rice cookerβ¦
Hell yeah!! I love that thing, too.
Oooof no. 31 ππ»
DO IT! I double dog dare you. π
What a fun list! Will definitely try a bunch. (And I literally couldnβt live without #36 daily)
I started doing it with my son every day. I'm kinda sad we're going into the 100+ degree season, which robs of us this.

I cannot WAIT to call my 12 year old daughter Poopsie Toilet Lips. π
DO IT! I dare ya. π It makes my son laugh every time.
well questioning Sesotho orthography, l is pronounced as dβ¦
i donβt mind being waived around
Might just replace my to-do list this week with this list instead π
DO IT! I dare ya. ππ«Ά

Loved this, Dre! I do some of these. I need to do many more of these.
Thanks, brotha!! I hope you do. Weird is so good for us.
Great list!! Iβll have to add a few to my anti hustle life π₯°
DO IT! I double dog dare ya. π«Ά
I only do things on a triple dog dare π
Fuck that. I QUADRUPLE dare ya! π
Done and done
