Had a blast on this one. I love these jazz-type conversations where you have no idea where you're gonna end up. Thanks for the chat!

It was so good for the soul!! But, GODDAMNIT!! I meant to talk about your walking challenge and how fucking brilliant it is, and it totally escaped me. ๐Ÿ˜ฉ I'm so sorry!!

I'm ready for "the battle of the sexes" when you are!! ๐Ÿ˜‰

๐Ÿ™Œ so great. My friend and I were just talking about parenting in the 90's being led by Christian leaders like Dr James Dobson which have the unspoken effect of breaking a child's spirit and will so that they were subservient to the parents. This is so opposite to how we raise our son.

I remember with the directional arrows on grocery floors during covid. I was a new mom with a new born babe and was honestly afraid of getting too close to people. My husband wouldn't pay any attention to the arrows and it gave me such anxiety to pass a person who was travelling in the right direction down the aisle that I would have a panic attack. Tell me what's more important: following arrows or nervous system regulation?

I've heard that women particularly suffer from the bitch, the witch and the whore wound. Those women who speak up for themselves, who aren't subservient, who are empowered, who light up the room - they are often insulted as a bitch, a witch or a whore because the rest of us women are so insecure that seeing someone so fully embodying their power is threatening to us. Let's out-grow this, shall we??

That Dr. James Dobson junk. Forgot about all of that being on the radio constantly.

And yeah, attacking women who stand out is dumb. Nothing makes me happier than hanging out with confident, funny people-- male or female. We don't need any pushed-down, repressed people.

Gurl. Bitch. Right here. ๐Ÿ‘‹ It broke my fucking spirit for DECADES. All because I naturally free think. Iโ€™m NEVER getting back in the box, and if thatโ€™s the label you want to chase me around with a staple gun withโ€ฆ go for it. That says more about you than anything about me.

You protect that nervous system and you use that horizontal space. ALWAYS nervous system first. Fuck these ridiculous rules that arenโ€™t rules, but control. ๐Ÿซถ Thank you for hanging with us today!!! ๐Ÿค—

โ€œNot guiding, not explaining, not fixing - just holding space with presence and trust.โ€ - This is unbelievably powerful and something our culture regularly resists. We are led to believe that life is about tidy endings & simple explanations. Your approach is incredibly refreshing and so needed on this chaotic world.

Awww ๐Ÿฅน thanks, sweetie!! I'm just sick of losing myself + my kindreds to shit we never wanted or asked for. I'm out here trying to make chaos normal. ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ

Thanks soooo much for catching this replay. It was soooo nice to get a man's perspective on all of this shit. ๐Ÿซถ

Such an amazing talk! Especially love the masculine point of view! I spend so much time immersed in the womenโ€™s point of view of everything. So refreshing!!

Right??! I love hearing a manโ€™s POV. I miss that from my corporate days. Itโ€™s funny how much impact it is to get both perspectives. I usually identify with a lot of it, too. ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ

I really liked your discussion topics. When I met Tim and his wife and friends for a drink one night, we inevitably landed on all the tough life topics. It's almost like the floodgates opened as soon as one person mentioned an issue. So important to have important discussions!
