Medium. I was there, and it was pretty good until they stabbed all of us writers in the face, which happened more than once for me. Build an income, get stabbed back to the bottom, build an income, get stabbed. But there was never a good way to have a community there. Screw you, Medium. They value people zero amount. To them, we were dime-a-dozen content machines.
Riffing. It's what I live for. Life is a big riff. So having it online here at Substack really matters.
These money-making gurus and their "You can do what I do even if you write about radish farming!" No, you can't. What you do only works mostly by pulling in hopeful victims and milking them until they give up and go end their lives in a dark corner.
Stop being scared and celebrate weird! Don't be afraid to try.
I'm so glad I never fell down the Medium rabbit hole. I can't believe what they've done to their users. This shit should be criminal!! I can't make this gurus stop spreading their lies, but I'm done being quiet about it.

I am in the middle of writing an article on this exactly! The fact of the matter is Furus are predators. They seek out people that are predisposed to this kind of message to exploit their vulnerabilities.
Andrew fuckwad Taint is a perfect example. It’s not that he has a smart message by any means, it’s that he is a caricature for incels. Even though nobody likes fuckwad Taint McGee he is everything incels aren’t.

They just need a congruent response to believe, which is deceptively simple. Create their Avatar and sell it back to them.
